So who’s making all this tasty food, anyway?
Kim and David Brotzman have owned Main Street Grille since 2007, but they’ve been in the food and hospitality industry for decades.
One of Kim’s first jobs was as a lobster cook at Abbott’s in Noank, CT. She’s since managed nightclubs, has been involved with catering, and has done a lot of waitressing in several landmark establishments in Connecticut. And if you come into the restaurant and find that Kim reminds you of the the bikini-clad hot dog girl in Putnam once upon a time, well…pat yourself on the back for having a good memory. That was indeed Kim.
What she really loves is the way this has come full circle–a customer she waited on in Norwichtown over 30 years ago is now a Main Street Grille regular.
As for David, he brings his experience as owner and operator of D & K Produce to the–pardon the pun–table. For many years the company provided food, produce, and dry goods to over 30 local restaurants and private clubs. He continues this role for Main Street Grille by sourcing only the freshest of ingredients from local vendors and suppliers. He also makes a mean cupcake, so save room for dessert.
Both Kim and David undertake cooking and baking duties at the restaurant–and if you have a chance to talk to them about food, be prepared: Their passion for it is catchy, and you will work up an appetite.
